Bleeding or 'spotting'
A week after conception the embryo implants itself into the wall of the uterus. This can cause light bleeding known as spotting. You can also get stomach cramps whilst the tiny embryo is in motion.
Missed period
A missed period would be the most common symptom that you may be pregnant The embryo has implanted and the lining of your womb is now keeping the embryo nicely cushioned.
A positive pregnancy test
A positive pregnancy test is a sure sign that you are pregnant. Pregnancy tests pick up levels of a pregnancy hormone called Beta-HcG or Beta Human Chorionic gonadatophin in your urine. These levels double approximately every two days in the first 4 weeks of pregnancy.
Tender or sore breasts
You might notice your breast being quite tender similar to just before you start your period but perhaps a little mote obvious. They may feel slightly bigger which means your bra may not fit as well.
Nausea/Morning Sickness
Some women suffer with mild nausea or nothing at all, whilst other women suffer quite severe sickness known as Hyperemisis Gravidarum. Sickness is generally a common symptom of early pregnancy. Although it is known as morning sickness it can actually come at anytime of the day.
Fatigue/Tiredness
Feeling more tired is a pregnancy symptom that can also start as early as the first week and is because your body is working really hard getting ready for the baby.
Weeing more often
About 6-8 weeks into your pregnancy you may find yourself making extra trips to the loo. This is due to changes in hormones, mainly because of an increase in progesterone, and your body getting rid of toxins.
Headaches
Rising hormone levels in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy, being tired too, might be more sensitive to light and noise.
